4. Electrical Engineer
Purpose
- To plan, organize, and supervise on-going works of technician performing electrical routine to installation, repair and maintenance and equipment of wastewater treatment facilities and inventories in order to ensure that all electrical wastewater system is well maintained with minimal mechanical faults
Qualification
- Equivalent to bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or closely related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of increasingly responsible work experience in electrical maintenance of wastewater treatment and pumping facilities, including 1 year in supervisory level
- Completion of training in safety program is highly desirable
- Experience with word software and other related programs is required
Licenses and Certificates
- Maintain a valid electrical engineering professional certificate
Responsibilities
Managerial
- Be accountable for the performance of staff under supervision
- Report work performance and other relevant issues to the Head of Maintenance Section
- Manage the planning, budgeting and control of resources within areas of responsibility
- Be responsible and involved in human resource processes and activities
- Encourage effective team work and monitor team morale
- Manage communication within area of responsibility
Functional
- Plan, organize, supervise and maintain electrical and electronic repair and maintenance systems performed according to a standard of maintaining schedules, procedures and methods and orderly manner
- Participate in planning and reviewing electrical maintenance system design and projects expansion if required
- Recommend electrical maintenance system alterations to head of maintenance section as required
- Prepare, issue, prioritize and track electrical and electronic work orders
- Collaborate and coordinate electrical maintenance and repair activities with outside contractors as necessary
- Develop and perform periodic inspections of all phases of electrical repair and maintenance of wastewater systems and procedures to insure balanced and proper maintenance of all systems
- Inspect and examine electrical equipments’ conditions and use of electrical equipments, materials and tools on job sites and ensure that equipments’ condition is maintained effectively with a corrective use
- Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned appropriately
- Maintain an effectiveness of inventory system and inventory security system for spare parts and supply inventories
- Prepare, and maintain a variety of records and files related to electrical maintenance activities, repairs and assigned duties together with analyzing maintenance data and report to head of maintenance section
- Be responsible for training staffs under supervision according to the requirements
- Participate and maintain Plant's safety programs and ensure that it compliance with plant operation safety standards
- Assist in public information and education programs, including facility tours
- Perform and direct confined space entry and rescue operation
- Respond to on-call needs on 24 hour emergency basis
- Perform other related duties as required
